Signe has been part of this community for over 20 years, working to make Herndon an even better place to live. She has served on several County committees including the Fairfax County Economic Advisory Commission and the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority-Planning Coordination Advisory Committee, as well as serving as the Vice Chair of the Community and Economic Development Advocacy Committee at the Virginia Municipal League, which lobbies for Virginia's Cities and Towns. She has worked for the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce, for the University of Maryland College Park, local small businesses, nonprofits and the arts. She is a volunteer with the Herndon Rotary focusing on food insecurity, with the Herndon Fortnightly Club focusing on Scholarships, and when her life is calm, she regularly picks up truly revolting litter to help keep Herndon clean. Her mother lived in Herndon Harbor House, a senior living facility run by the County and located a few blocks from her house. She has served on several county committees including the Economic Advisory Commission and the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority-Planning Coordination Advisory Committee, as well as the Community and Economic Development Advocacy Committee at the Virginia Municipal League.
